About Nicola
Nicola graduated from McGill University with a double major in History and Political Science in 2009. She completed her Bachelor of Law at the University of Leicester in 2012 and earned her Masters of Law in International Human Rights Law at the National University of Ireland, Galway in 2013.
Nicola gained experience in research and advocacy from participating in the 2013 International Criminal Law Trial Competition in The Netherlands. After moving back to Canada, Nicola worked at a prominent law firm in Toronto. There she gained invaluable on-the-job training in criminal defence law.
After completing the National Committee on Accreditation exams, Nicola articled with Circelli Law, and once called to the Bar of Ontario in 2016 joined the firm as an Associate.
To focus on what she is passionate about, Nicola launched her own practice in 2019. Nicola is compassionate about each client’s cause and works hard to seek the best result possible for them. Nicola has appeared at all levels of Court within the Province of Ontario and successfully defended clients at trial.
Nicola is currently the President of the Middlesex Law Association, Vice President of the Criminal Lawyers’ Association, a member of the Provincial Criminal Lawyers’ Association, the Women in Canadian Criminal Defence, the Law and Mental Disorder Association and regularly volunteers her time in the London Community.
